Sindh Independent Living Center (SILC)
Disabled Welfare Association (DWA) is launching its new project "Sindh Independent Living Center (SLIC)" on 3rd December.
Sindh Independent Living Center (SLIC) will play a major role to uplift severely disabled persons, give them courage to live independently and tech them the way they can manage their life independently. At this time there is no such project in Sindh and there is no place where severely disabled people can turn to get advice, moral support, and training. |

What is Independent Living?
Everyone is dependent at one or another time for one or another task. Supporting one another is part of social life. Independent living doesn’t mean 100% independency.
Independent living mean living a life of your choice, and reducing dependency on others. Whether it is a simple daily task or a critical decision making for the life.

Why its important for PWDs? It is more important for PWDs to learn to live independent because;
Mostly PWDs have low steam due to the attitude of society toward their disability.
