The aim of the survey was to identify the IDPWDs and their needs. So we can try to help them more accurately with a fixed target.
In our society being “Disabled” means useless part of the machine, such people loss their jobs, dignity and lives a confined and dependent life. People with disability have little or no access
to sports and recreation facilities therefore most of the disabled people are remain confined at their home. The main reason of this for physically challenged people is unavailability of sports and recreation activities that will help them so that can enable them to move around with independence, dignity and respect.
Sports and physically challenged persons!!! Usually it assumed sport is not for physically challenged persons as it's a physical activity. But many physically challenged proved that they can be a good player, even though they face trouble but they invented they own ways in sports.

| Keeping in view the above, Disabled Welfare Association (DWA) organized “2nd All Pakistan Wheel chair Cricket Championship from 26th to 29th May 2011” with the help of National Bank, CHEF International, City District Government Karachi, HANDs, Karachi Parsi Institute and Telenore Pakistan by the day and night efforts of its truly committed team. DWA arranged a press conference in on 26 May 2011 with former test cricketer IQBAL QASIM. Six teams participated from all over country. In this tournament all the participants were disabled and they played on wheel chairs. This tournament has shown the abilities of PWDs that if opportunities are provided to physically challenged people to become an active and productive part of the society, they not only can earn a decent income for themselves and their families but also can enjoy life with sports and other recreational activities. |
This mega event was a show of private, public, NGO and corporate sector partnership, in which all stakeholders played their maximum support and cooperation.

| Inauguration was also very colorful with all sorts of Musical Bands. The speaker Sindh Assembly, Mr. Nisar Ahmad Khuro was the chief guest. He expressed his whole hearted gratitude to organizer and supporters of the tournament. He especially gave honor of expression to Mr. Jawed Raees, President Disabled Welfare Association, who worked day and night for the success of the tournament and for the cause of PWDs. He extended all his political support for the voice of PWDs and Invited all guests and Players, participated in the tournament at a grand dinner on Sunday night when the match is over. |

Special Life Foundation won the toss and elected to bat first. They made brilliant 124 runs in eight over match. s In reply Milestone achieved the target in 7.5 over with the wonderful performance of Agha Hasnain who batted brilliantly.
