Sindh Independent Living Center (SILC)

photo of SLIC building Disabled Welfare Association (DWA) is launching its new project "Sindh Independent Living Center (SLIC)" on 3rd December.

Sindh Independent Living Center (SLIC) will play a major role to uplift severely disabled persons, give them courage to live independently and tech them the way they can manage their life independently. At this time there is no such project in Sindh and there is no place where severely disabled people can turn to get advice, moral support, and training.

Liyari Literacy Center (LLC)

photo of LLC building Liyari is very poor area of Karachi, and with high level of illiteracy. Moreover in liyari there is high number of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). These PWDs do not have many educational opportunities. Keeping this in view we are launching a literacy center in liyari to provide them equal opportunities in education, specially in computer literacy.

Mobility Self Respect Scheme

Mazori Majbori Nahin - Self-Respect Schem! An income generating project of DWA and WorldBank that provided the mean of earning and mobility to 24 Physically challanged persons and their families.
