Mr. Ali
Mr. Ali is 4th beneficiary, he live in Liaquatabad Karachi. He is victim of a road accident he had 23 operation of his leg that cost too much money. He is married and has 3 childrens, his wife is polio victim and support PWDs from the stage of their organization. Before the accident he was a cycle mechanic but he lost his job then he started to sale some children items in front of his home door,which wasn't every profitable but after getting accessible motorbike as a Rikshaw he starts his new business with new spirit and now making more profit & living independent happy life .
Mr. Ali and his wife are thankful to DWA, they said we pray for your success and we thank you to DWA and Telenor for starting such a nice project, and gave us chance to start a decent work and earn some income for ourselves and our children.
Mr. Amjad
Mr. Amjad Hasan S/O Muhammad Hasan, is 40 year old man who had an accident during work and he lost his one leg up to knee. After that he had a hard life, and tried to earn some income to sale "cholay chatt"
.
He is the 1st beneficiary of DWA+Telenor Naya Qadam project. Now he is running his Tuck shop in Kornagi near a cinema and school, and having a decent work and reasonable income to support himself and his family.
Mr. Amjad said "I am thankful to DWA and Telenor that brought me a new hope to live, by enabling me to earn income from this Tuck shop. I couldn't afford to start such business at my own without the support of DWA. I pray for DWA and the Telenor who started this project and enable me to start decent business."
Mr. Naseer
Mr. Nazir Ahmed Ansari son of Bashir Awan has 7 brother and he is the only PWD in his family. He has a business of lights decoration, and was facing trouble. Now after having accessible motorbike, he use this bike as rickshaw also keeping his old work of light decoration, now he feel much easy as now he has accessible transport that not only use as Rikshaw but also carry his equipments of light decoration and can do that business more easily.
He said, "Now I am with much peace, and feel comfort. In past life was difficult for me specially because barriers in environment and transport, I am thankful to DWA and Telenor for such a blessing project that enabled me to earn a decent income, and brought much happens in my life."
Mr. Nasir
Mr. Nasir is 29 year old and was jobless. He suffered from polio in childhood. He has 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He lives in lines Area in blocks and tin made shelter. His elder brother is married and live separately. His younger brother is working, but he does not have any job. He is responsible for providing treatment to her mother who is sick and often need to see doctor in hospital. He is hoping that after receiving his tuck shop on accessible motorbike he will able to earn some decent income. He tried before to earn income as supplier of children items to different shops. as he was facing difficulties we provided him tuck shop on his request. And now since 1 month he is earning income from tuck shop and also use the same vehicle to carry passenger to earn some extra income.
He said I am so thankful to DWA and telenor for providing me another opportunity and not letting me down as my first business were not went fine, but now with this new accessible bike I am doing much better business.
